Meet Cara

Cara brings a modern, boho flair to the brand. With a degree in Computer Science and Art from Simmons, she spent years as a graphic designer before discovering her love for textile design. Her style blends bohemian decor on a budget, rich fabrics, metallics, and a mix of modern and vintage influences. She’s the mastermind behind our exclusive clutches, designed with custom fabrics that embody the spirit of bohemian clothing boutiques. When she’s not accessorized to the max, she’s wrangling life with her husband, Jay, and their four daughters, Soleil, Ivy, Téa, and Isla.

Meet Kristen

Kristen is the rustic heart of Modern Vintage. With an Art & Communications degree from Simmons College, she found her true passion rescuing roadside treasures and transforming them with layers of chippy paint. She’s all about rustic vintage decor and incorporating architectural salvage into her designs, creating stunning pieces for the modern boho living room. You’ll usually find her covered in paint, juggling life with her husband, Matt, and their four kids, Cora, Matty, Luke, and Ruby.

A Decade of Modern Vintage: What’s Next?

In 2022, our 10th anniversary, we announced the opening of our second location in Osterville, Massachusetts. This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without our incredible customers who have supported us through every step of the journey—two shop moves, six babies, and countless family events.

We’re excited to bring our unique blend of boho clothing brands, vintage home decor items, and coastal antiques to a new community.
